Brioche French Toast
Thick-cut brioche soaked in vanilla cinnamon custard and fried in golden butter.
Ingredients
- 4 thick-cut brioche slices
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp powdered sugar, for dusting
- Extra butter for topping
Method
- Whisk the eggs, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon in a shallow bowl until combined.
- Dip each brioche slice into the custard, about 1 minute per side, until well soaked.
- Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat, swirling until golden and nutty.
- Add the soaked brioche and cook until deeply golden on each side.
- Stack the toast, add a small spoon of butter on top, and finish with a dusting of powdered sugar.
